A new downloadable content pack will be released on September 7th, according to the announcement section in the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game. The ticker bar, which announces information across all spectrums related to the game on the multiplayer screen, states new DLC, featuring new characters and maps will be released on September 8th. A price point and additional information have not been revealed. Read more.
Thanks to jinxm of HK-TF, we have a well-detailed look at TakaraTomy's version of Transformers Animated Wingblade Optimus Prime. While Hasbro's intended release was a non-battle damaged version of the deluxe Battle Begins Optimus Prime, Takara has decided to release the Wingblade add-on with a voyager class version of the character. To differentiate between the regular voyager release and this version, Takara has decided to release this version with translucent plastic. Thanks to nihaohuwen, we have new looks at the Transformers Power Core Combiners Grimstone with team Dinobots prototype figures. Hasbro told us during BotCon 2010 that they found Transformers fans have a geniune love of the Dinobots, so they decided that the Dinobots team is a great addition to the Power Core line. The set was unveiled to the public (where pictures could be taken) at China's first convention CybertronCon. The Dinobots will be released as the first wave of 2011.
A sketch depicting Protector with a serrated scythe named TFX-04BC has shown up on Fansproject's home page. Could it be even before the release of the Protector Upgrade that Fansproject is already prepping its nemesis? According to several reports, Steven Blum has announced that he will be lending his voice to the character Starscream in The Hub's upcoming series Transformers: Prime. The announcement took place at SacAnime, a convention in Sacramento, California that is taking place this weekend, according to the reports. Madmegas4 first provided this information while Sean Long seems to have corroborated this information at TFW2005. Mr. Blum last voiced Barricade and Shockwave in the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game and Dark Scream in Robots In Disguise. Read more.

Apocalypse Comics will be bringing two exclusive IDW variants to this years New York Comic Con. The first is for Transformers #12, which is a homage to the classic Jack Kirby cover of X-Men #1. The second is for GI Joe #23, which is a homage to the unforgettable "Apocalypse Now!" movie poster.
Following up on a previous report. KP Toys have posted images of a Transformers Animatd "GOLD OPTIMUS PRIME" Takara Lucky Draw DVD Mail Away Prize. According to the post there was to be 1000 of these, but they were told from a reliable source that only 300 have been sent out. There will be no more. Take that as a rumor as traditionally there are usually more than they tell us there are.

Multichannel News is reporting agent Mike Eisner has been named senior vice president, legal and business affairs for Hasbro Studios in Los Angeles. Eisner -- not to be confused with ex-Disney executive Michael Eisner -- had been vice president at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, where among other things, he packaged TV shows and advised on brand integration.

Transformers: Prime cast member Josh Keaton has spoken out about his role in the upcoming cartoon that will air on The Hub sometime this year and also hinted that he will voice Bumblebee in the show. In a recent interview with 2D-X, Mr. Keaton stated that he could not talk about the premise of the show, he playfully hints that he will play Bumblebee in the show, which has been rumored for quite some time. Tekkaus has posted a video and images of a transforming truck similar in makeup to Movie Optimus Prime, as the posting says Kwansformer which is the "reincarnation" of China's arguably greatest warrior of all time-General Guan Yu! Costing $43,000 and weighing in at two tonnes, the vehicle is based around one of the first autos ever built in China. This wasn't just your average art project from Bi Heng.
