Peaugh was grabbed quite a surprise for us and has treated us to a review of Transformers Animated Rodimus! The figure will be sold through Toys R Us (good luck on your search!) officially beginning August 1st. How does this figure stack up? Take a look after the jump!
The Transformers Animated Deluxe Rodimus figure was nicely displayed during BotCon 2010, and thanks to GenZhao, we have even more looks at the figure. The figure is a Toys R Us exclusive and will be out in August. Good luck!
Jim Sorensen has updated his blog with yet more The AllSpark Almanac II goodness. This round serves up a copious amount of Transformers Animated lore. There's information on the Table of Contents, character profiles, interstitial pages and a really special treat giving us our only looks at the never-produced triple changer Marauder Megatron action figure. Animated was one of the few Transformers toons with Megatron done right. What a shame we didn't get this toy too.
On display at BotCon 2010, Hasbro showed off two of their upcoming Transformers Animated figures, Cybertronian Ironhide and Rodimus Minor. Cybertronian Ironhide, a repaint with a brand-new head mold, will be available beginning August 1, 2010, which is obviously contingent upon your luck. Rodimus Minor will be out August 1, 2010 (again, depending on your luck and store) for $12.99. The figures do not have the store stickers on them, but we previously learned that the figures will be distributed through Toy R Us stores.
Jim Sorensen has updated his blog with a 5 page preview and insights on the new Almanac: Well, it's almost time. Wednesday, August 19th The AllSpark Almanac comes out, and it's just around the corner. I know I've been hyping this book a lot, but it's only because I'm incredibly proud of the result. When I was a kid and I'd buy some crummy unofficial guidebook to something like, say, Quantum Leap, this was the kind of product I always hoped I'd get. I can't thank Bill, Marty, Derrick, Marcelo, and all the other folks who contributed enough. Check out the full preview at boltax.blogspot.com.
Jim Sorensen has updated his BLOG the Disciples of Boltax with some of the content we will not see in the The AllSpark Almanac II that is coming soon. The images posted give us a rare look at concept art in the rawest form. Get a look at sketches for Wheelie, Jetfire, Krezmeek, The Lion and the Mouse as told with Victory Leo and Packrat and some other really neat stuff fans of Transformers Animated won't want to miss.
Derrick J. Wyatt has posted a poster on his blog A Delightful Tedium announcing that he, Jim Sorenson, Bill Forster, and Transformers Animated Lead Writer Marty Isenberg will be on-hand at Emerald Knights for a signing of Transformers Animated: AllSpark Almanac II. The guys will be at 4116 W. Burbank Blvd in Burbank, CA from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Saturday July 3, 2010.
Our quest to learn when previously un-released Transformers Animated figures will be released continues. Transformers.com has mysteriously listed Animated Voyager class figures Thundercracker and Mudbuster Bulkhead with nary an explanation. Could you soon be hunting for these figures at a toy store near your home? Hopefully we'll find out soon.
After months of anticipating, then worrying, the wait may be finally over. Toys R Us stores are releasing Arcee, although finding the figure may be a different matter. Tformers managed to find this elusive Autobot and now we can highlight her in this review. Also, be sure to click the Database link for updated images!
TFormers Community member "formerly nortagem" received an email from Hasbro, Inc. today regarding some remaining Transformers Animated figures including Blackout and Thundercracker, which they say have been "discontinued." Due to this, they are unable to provide any information on retail markets that Hasbro said during San Diego Comic-Con that they would work to get the remaining figures out any way they can. Read on for analysis.

They're baaaaaaack! Due to popular demand, the Animated lineup will begin an encore appearance. Toys R Us is the first to bring in fresh new stock with 2 exclusive figures. Scalpers seem to be having a field day with Arcee, but we did manage to find a younger Ratchet still in his Cybertronian guise. The following review delves into the figure.
Remember that interview in the pages of Figure King No 144 that featured an interview of Shog Hasui in Japanese? The page also revealed two early prototypes from the Transformers Animated toyline and reveal the partnership between Takara and Hasbro. Thanks to Sol Fury and SydneyY of Transformers World 2005, we now have a translation of that interview! Jump through for the recap of the interview.

If you haven't checked out your local Toys R Us store yet, you might want to peek in. The Animated exclusives are starting to crop up on shelves as this is posted. Although Arcee has eluded us so far, we were able to snag Cybertronian Mode Ratchet and refresh his profile. You can check the updated profile, along with fresh images, by checking out the Animated Database.
Thanks to Collection Station who have posted official Hasbro images of the Transformers Animated Voyager class Mudbuster Bulkhead and Thundercracker action figures. These new images give us new looks at the robot modes, vehicle modes and the packaged images. The character bio summary has been posted for each figure as well.
A lot of news is better than no news on these guys, I suppose. A little after we told you that Transformers Animated Arcee and Cybertron Ratchet would be Toys R Us store exclusives, GenZhao has provided us some out-of-package shots of the figures, too. Since up until now we have only seen official and random proto and test shots here and there, this is a welcome change. Devour the pics in the gallery.
Ebay seller TFctoy has posted a lot of new ebay auctions for upcoming and one prototype / test shot action figures. The first item of interest is a test shot colored version of the leader class Animated Megatron in silver, red and yellow color. Another Animated figure makes the grade with an auction for Voyager Mudbuster Bulkhead in and out of box. From ROTF we get a look at deluxe Strike Mission Sideswipe and Tuner Mudflap.
Thanks again to GenZhao, we have images of the upcoming Transformers Animated Deluxe Electrostatic Soundwave. The gallery finally shows off the Keytar Ratbat. GenZhao says that the wave (along with Freeway Jazz) is due out next year, but BBTS currently has a pre-order for November 2009 along with other previously-released figures.
We just received some high resolution official shots of Transformers Animated Deluxe figures Freeway Jazz and Electrostatic Soundwave. We have uploaded them to the respective figure's database entries. Take a look by clicking on each figure's name. As originally reported, these figures are slated to ship together in Deluxe Wave 3 in November.
Thanks to "chenkofs," we have new images the green and black Voyager Bulkhead repaint (previous images here) as well as Deluxe Freeway Jazz. These images mark the first time we have seen Freeway Jazz since BotCon 2009. Take a look at the shots in the gallery!
GenZhao has provided a gallery of a new Transformers Animated repaint of Voyager Bulkhead. The figure is painted with more of a puke-ish green, but now has a bolder grill, thanks to the bottom half of the vehicle being dominated by black (oddly enough, the front wheel wells are green like the upper body). The back-half of the vehicle now has more designs and an Autobot logo before it. Read more.
Thanks to GenZhao, we have our first in-depth gallery of the Transformers Animated Deluxe Electrostatic Soundwave figure. This figure is an homage to Soundblaster and is based off of the dream sequence in the series. The figure comes with Ratbat, but GenZhao did not receive that half of the figure, so he has put in Laserbeak as a substitute. Take a look at the gallery of the figure in the database entry.
On his blog, A Delightful Tedium, Transformers: Animated character designer Derrick Wyatt recently posted this awesome TF: Animated style version of Revenge of the Fallen's Scalpel (The Doctor). Sadly, due to the untimely demise of Animated, this image is just for fun and probably not a harbinger of things to come.
