BotCon 2010 was the summer Transformers event and now you can check out all the action in the pages of the current issue of the Transformers Collectors' Club magazine. In addition to the coverage, Derrick Wyatt offered his talents and provided the art for Elite Guard Metalhawk and Casey Coller has continued his contributions with art depicting a certain Decepticon warlord!
Thanks to Cybergundom BLOG we have posted new scans from the most recent issue August 2010 edition of Hyper Hobby. The of Japanese hobby modeling and collectibles magazine features the latest Transformers action figures that will be released by TakaraTomy in japan. This month's showcase offers us looks at the Transformers 2010 Commemorative series, new Transformers Animated action figures, Hunt for the Decepticons movie figures and the latest from the Disney Label figures series.
The Transformers Collectors Club has announced that issue #32 of their club magazine will spotlight the brand-new line Power Core Combiners. The issue "features an exclusive look at the upcoming Power Core Combiners line, including a Q&A with our friends on the Transformers Team at Hasbro who are responsible for this great new line," the club tells us on their website. Club members should be on the lookout for the new issue as it is due to arrive any day now.
Thanks to the Cybergundam Blog, we have some scans of the May issue of Hobby Japan. In this issue, the magazine shows off Unite for the Universe UA-01 Optimus Prime, Masterpiece MP-03G Ghost Starscream, Disney Label Buzz Lightyear, Alternity A-04 Okamora Orochi Starscream and Skywarp, Device Label Blaster and Cheetor, and some upcoming Transformers Animated figures, which are hitting stores very soon.
The guys at ModXtoy has have posted scans from the latest issues of Dengeki Hobby the Japanese toy collectors magazine. Much like here in the USA, Japan is experiencing a glut off Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen product. The new scans are no exception with previews of the same EZ-Collection figs we've seen from wave 1 and 2. Titan's Transformers Magazine has been kind enough to share their interview with Transformers comic artist John Davis Hunt. In addition to Titan's distinct Transformes Movie comics, Mr. Hunt is also responsible for 3 out of four issues of IDW's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Comic Adaptation. Tfans member Star Seeker let us know about the January 2007 issue of Popular Science that includes a blurb entitled 'TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE' which reads: "Planet Earth is the front line in the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons when director Michael Bay's live-action movie Transformers opens on July 4. Based on the animated series and popular action figures of the early 1980s, Bay's Transformers (brought to life by CGI) can change from, say, a 25-foot humanity-hating robot into a deadly jet fighter in four seconds flat." AutobotMaximal of the Tfans forums, has posted an update with details on this month's ToyFare magazine that's running a bit on the Transformers movie: There's a 5 page article about the 2007 Transformers Movie that starts out by mentioning that writers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci have been friends since high school and mentions the shows they started their careers working on. There is a pretty good interview, where they asked the pair things such as "were they Transfans as kids", to which they both said that they were. Check out the complete update at

Superherohype has posted scans of the February 2007 Empire Magazine featuring an article on the Transformers Movie. The article talks about the fans' reaction of the designs and how dedicated the creative minds are to the movie among other things. "We took the animated versions of [the robots] and we put them into a real world to see what it would look like and it looked silly," says Producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura of the changed movie designs.
