Transformers TV/Cartoon
Hasbro Studios was at the Television Critics Association (mostly TCA for short) this morning and they discussed what to expect when The Hub, a cable network between Hasbro Studios and Discovery Communications, launches on October 10, 2010. Two press releases coincided with the appearance, one that announced the cast of the upcoming Transformers: Prime cartoon, a CGI-based show, and the other announcing that the original Generation 1 cartoon Transformers would also air on The Hub. Chances are by now you've seen the History Channel's TV show Pawn Stars. Recently, they have been airing and episode where they meet with a Transformers collector with a lot of robots. See multiple copies of many G1 figures like Fortress Maximus, Scorponok, Mirage and many more that won't believe. Thanks to forums member Backfire who posted a whole mess of stills from the show.
Tania Gunadi has revealed on her Twitter page that she will be lending her voice to a character in Transformers: Prime. She does not reveal her role in the show. Oddly enough, this update was posted on January 28th but slipped by us for quite a while. The update even reveals that Frank Welker will play the role of Megatron in the show, which was only recently officially revealed to us during BotCon 2010. Ms. Gunadi's update also pre-dates Advertising Age's outing of Peter Cullen's role in the series back in May.Ms. Gunadi is of Indonesian descent and was recently seen in the live-action Disney XD series Aaron Stone.

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman sure are busy these days with Fringe and Cowboys and Aliens, among others, it is not surprising that the duo had to partner up with somebody, and as we learned from earlier this month, it was Jeff Kline. And Mr. Orci has nothing but great praise for him. "We managed to partner with an amazing writer named Jeff Kline," he wrote on Producer Don Murphy's official message boards. "He really knows animation and he lead the way in hiring a talented group of writers to get the show off the ground." Mr. Kline's previous works include Men In Black: The Series, Jackie Chan Adventures, and Extreme Ghostbusters.
Roberto Orci has revealed that Frank Welker has joined the cast of Transformers: Prime, an upcoming cartoon on Hasbro Studios and Discovery Communications joint venture The Hub. When asked on Producer Don Murphy's official message board how the show is going, Mr. Orci replies, "Seeing [Peter] Cullen and [Mr.] Welker together in the recording studio was mind blowing." Thanks to Media Week who have posted an article about The Hub and the line they have planned for the fall when the channel debut's on 10/10/10. Tranformers Prime will be run in the 1 PM EST to 6 PM EST time Kids Afternoon/Prime slot along side the GI Joe, My Little Pony and three other shows to fill the five hours of programming.
Advertising Age has confirmed that The Hub, a collaboration between Hasbro Studios and Discovery Communications will launch on 10/10/10 (or October 10, 2010, for the uninitiated). The special Cable Guide section of the Advertising Age magazine reveals that Transformers: Prime will debut on launch day, most likely in the afternoon and early evening Kid's Prime block targeting 6 to 12 year olds.
Just in is news that the Digitalscape may be the company doing the production for the new Transformers Prime cartoon that will be shown on the Hasbro / Discovery channel called The Hub. Digitalscape, which specializes in production for animated features and digital products have recently places ADs on their Web site looking to fill forty positions in Japan from animators to setup that are needed to work on the new Transformers Prime TV show that will debut later this year. Hasbro, Inc. and Discovery Communications' joint venture The Hub is planning to air vintage television shows based off of their products, Advertising Age reports. While Transformers: Prime is "expected" to launch on the network's launch date of October 10th, the cable channel is "also looking to pry open Hasbro's vaults and those of other production companies to program at least an hour's worth of vintage content from the 1980s to attract the parents of its target viewers." Two more Transformers Cybermissions have been posted on the Walmart Canada web site. The missions include misson #5 with Decepticon Mindwipe who takes control of Ironhide in a cave in a jungle until Optimus Prime comes to the rescue. Mission #6 joins the Autobots Optimus Prime and Sideswipe as they team up and swerve through Scamble City to stop Barricade and Fenzy from stealing important NEST information - Watch Now!

The videos feature some footage from the show as well as a bit of the theme music that fans will be hearing. The audio is bit rough, but you can hear the music in the background. Definitely worth a view.

Thanks to udanasw of YouTube who has posted a first look at the Hasbro and Discovery Communications Joint Venture they are calling "The Hub." The childrens' TV network that's set to premiere in the Fall of 2010 will feature the next animated Transformers cartoon named "Transformers: Prime" among programming for My Little Pony and much more. The video shows the network will be targeted at younger kids.
