Famitoy is reporting that there are knock off Encore 12 Metroplex figures floating about. The website reports several minor differences that may easily be overlooked, so please be aware when you buy this figure. World's Smallest Tracks and Road Rage KOs

Popular Ebay seller of Worlds Smalled Transformers (WST), Heerotoysmaker, has posted two new auctions giving us our first introduction to new unofficial WST sized G1 Tracks as well as a red colored Diaclone variant that was offered by eHobby as Road Rage. Just in are some pictures showing us a tailer type kit that appears to be made for the Masterpiece MP-2 Ultra Magnus action figure. The pictures from hollowsun come frin the same people who made the the rare MP-1 Masterpiece Convoy transforming trailer that was only sold on Ebay as far as we know. TakaraTomy's Official Transformers site has updated with a new splash screen and product information pages featuring Masterpiece MP-07 Thundercracker, Henkei C-11 Ironhide and D-06 Galvatron, and Music Label Exile Convoy. The 5th Henkei mini-manga that came with the C-07 Sunstreaker and C-08 Prowl is now also available on the website. The events page has also been updated to promote the latest exclusives Ganbo Store Thrust, ToyHobby Market Dirge, and e-Hobby Megatron Black Version and Sunstorm re-issues.


Wonderfest Model Kits Now available at BBTS

BBTS recently listed the Revoltech-style Wonderfest exclusive Transormers model kits we saw a while back, which many suspected to be customs. They're garage kits which will have to be painted and assembled by hand, but are Revoltech scale and include revolver joints. MP-08 Grimlock - Brain Wave Transfer Device Included

Just a quick update. TakaraTomy's Transformers Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock will also include a brain wave transfer device accessory. This deviced was used in Transformers Season 3 episode titled "Grimlock's New Brain - Part 2" which transfered all his super intelligence that he acquired in "Part 1" to Computron in order to defeat Abonimus. Computron not included.

Alternity Megatron & MP Grimlock News Updates

SG Collect is reporting that the Nissan Fairlady Z (350Z in the United States) will serve as the alternate mode for the Transformers Alternity Megatron figure. The site also reports that the figure will be released in silver and blue versions, much like the Alternity GT-R Convoy is being released in silver and red. Thanks to "Cool Hand Lube," we have learned that Kapow Toys is reporting that TakaraTomy has announced two new Encore re-issue figures today. Encores #13 will be Trailbreaker while #14 has been announced as Hoist. Release dates and images are not available at this moment, but we will definitely bring them to you when we get them.


e-Hobby Re-Issues Megatron Black Version & Sunstorm

On-line retailer e-Hobby has decided to do a little Transformers Encore themselves by re-issuing two previous exclusives. To commemorate their 8th Anniversary and very first e-Hobby exclusive, which was originally released in March 2001 during Botcon Japan, they will be re-issuing Megatron Black Version retailing at 6,300 Yen. The other will be Sunstorm retailing at 4,200 Yen, which was originally released in July 2003 because of it's popularity. Read More

Previously reported here, the delayed Transformers Music Matrix DVD has been released in Japan. It contains a compilation of Transformers theme songs from G1 to present Movie with clips and footage retailing at 3,000 yen.

In the wake of Steven Spielberg's worldwide Hollywood blockbuster film Transformers, Columbia Music Entertainment of Japan will be releasing a DVD titled Transformers Theme Song DVD Collection. This will be a compilation of theme songs from the various Transformers animated TV series accompanied by video. This DVD will retail at 3,000 Yen and will be released in Japan on March 26, 2008. No cover art or track listing is available at this time.

Monsters and Critics.com reports - Coming to DVD on 26th September 2005 from Metrodome is the single most anticipated Transformers DVD collection ever the four-disc boxed set TRANSFORMERS THE TAKARA COLLECTION VOLUME 1 HEADMASTERS. This exclusive release marks the first time this legendary, much sought after but little seen 35-episode series has ever been officially released in its entirety in the West and features the show's original Japanese language version with newly commissioned remastered English subtitles, new artwork and a special collector's booklet on The Takara Collection. Another production run of the Japanese Transformers 2010 DVD Box set will be available on December 18, 2004 "50 years after the death of Convoy ... A new leader Rodimus Convoy and Galvatron Fight" In addition to all 30 episodes, also included are the three TV episodes "Transformers Rebirth 1-3" & a 40 page booklet.

Takara has updated the Transformers Generation One site with a product page for Transformers Best Version for the Playstation 2 platform previously reported here. For details of the product, please view the previous report.

Many Japanese gaming sights has reported a new version of the Japanese "Transformers" game that was released last year for the Playstation 2 will be re-released on March 24, 2005 titled "Transformers Best Version" also for the PS2 platform retailing at 2,980 Yen. This is equivalent to the reduce priced "Greatest Hits" here in the US.

Clayton "Alkaiser" Chan has posted one of the most complete reviews yet of the Transformers Tatakai game for the PS2 that was released by WinkySoft in Japan. There are a lot of questions the USA fans have about this game. This review will hopefully answer them. Check out the game review HERE.

Sharing the same mold made these a natural co-release from the unbashed Japanese who aways find a way to redo things right. The Hong Kong Transformers Talk Group has posted a scan of the Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock from the February 2009 issue of Dengeki Hobby. The images of the figure include the back, brain transfer device, and a close-up look at his chest plate. Take a look now by clicking "Read More."

Thanks to Dave, we've got some new images of the Masterpiece MP-1 / MP-2 Commander Package set in the box. Commander's accessories package designed specifically for Masterpiece 01 & 02 is in. Japanese online toy retailer AmiAmi have posted some fresh new stock images of the Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock action figure. The news images feature the figure in Robot and his alternate T-Rex mode with some of the best looks at figure details in this mode. Look for Gimlock to be released March 2009 in Japan for about 14,000 JPY. Click the read more for a look at the images.

Just in time for holidays, is the Japan Exclusive Exile Convoy Music Label iPod docking station and speaker set from Tomy Takara. Thanks to Snakas who has posted on his blog about the Santafied Prime action figure in and out of the package. Japanese retailer e-Hobby has posted three images of the Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock on their website, offering our first look at a fully-painted version of the figure. The eighth edition of the Masterpiece line will be available in March 2009.View the images.

Just in are new stock images of the Transformers / Disney crossover Mickey Mouse - Optimus Prime action figure set that will be coming from Tomy Takara. The new images show the figure in full robot mode with the visor up and down. Also displayed are clear images of the alternate truck mode and close up of the cab. Thanks to Big Bad Toy Store, we have our first look at the colored version of the controversial Mickey Mouse Transformer figure by TakaraTomy. The colored version sports a blue and red color scheme similar to Optimus Prime. The image also provides a better look at the robot and vehicle modes. Japanese retailer Maruzen-Toy has posted bigger looks at the Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock figure. The images are the same as the one we showed last week, but give better, higher-resolution looks at each feature. Take a look in the image gallery.
