Could This Be Transformers 2 Soundwave Figure?

By bwbm on Saturday, November 15, 2008 @ 11:11:57 PM

"Yizhi521" of TF08 has provided images of what could possibly be our first look at the "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" Soundwave figure.

For the better part of the week, "yizhi521" has been teasing us with posting blurry images of a gray and blue-colored figure, which many already speculated as Soundwave due to what looked like satellite panels on the figure.

However, "yizhi521" posted a brand-new image today, providing us our first clear look at the figure, including the very Generation 1-era head mold.

Could this be a "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" figure? Take a look at the figure below and decide for yourself.

This is the real deal. Nice head sculpt, and i think the pack of cigs next to the figure shows his scale as a dlx. Though my friend that knew about this fig b4 it was shown on the net says voyager. Any "screw hole scientists" here? *knuk knuk* It is at least ONE of the prototype Soundwave... read more

I'm not sure where people are getting "leader size" form - isn't he being posed next to a pack of cigarettes? Looks like a Deluxe to me.

Hmmm it is a bit blurry, but judging from what I can see...it looks like a fake. Might be a Taiwanese, Chinese, or Japanese knock-off of some anime show's mecha. It looks too...well...undetailed and blocky to be a Transformer's movie toy, even for a prototype. Look at the movie toys there&... read more

Somehow, three Leader-class Decepticons seems... unlikely. Jetfire sounds probable. SR-71 is a big, big plane.

I think it's been reported that Hasbro has an all-new, more accurate Leader Prime in the works. Leader tank Megatron's a given. As for the third Leader? I'm guessing Jetfire.

Over the last year and a half I've found movie threads to be a lot more fun if you don't participate in them.

I bet Hasbro will re-release 2007 movie Prime, and the new 3 Leader-class figures for ROTF will be Megatron, Starscream & Soundwave. Megatron, well, he'll returns as a Cybertronian Tank. Starscream, he'll play an important role. Obviously. Soundwave, same as above. And judging from image... read more

Is the photographer taking blurry photos on purpose, or are they that bad at taking pictures? C'mon! Anyway, I'm guessing they are real, but I can't help but wonder if this is Soundwave in his "protoform" or not... I wonder if they'll be doing the pre-release figures ag... read more
