Thanks to Youtube member lowfatoreo, we have our first look at another new Transformer that will be seen in Transformers 3. The video, around the 3:50 mark, shows a brand-new, never-before-seen head. Could this be the head for the robot that uses the the Ferrari 458 Italia as a vehicle mode? The Montoya #42 Target Wrecker? Rollbar? Speculate!
After shooting down multiple guesses of the names of the NASCAR trio vehicles sighted during the filming in Chicago, we may have finally gotten a name: Wreckers. Posting on Transformers World 2005 forums, an individual posting under the name "Nelson," the same handle used by Shoot For the Edit administrator, posts that the vehicles were referenced as the Wreckers on set. This name was also dropped in Hip-Hoptimus Rime's set report, although the name at that time was heard through the grapevine, so it could not be confirmed at that time. What do you think of this trio being named the Wreckers? Does it fit? Discuss!
Keep on guessing folks! We have seen the Transformers 3 NASCAR trio throughout the filming in Chicago for the final installment of the live action series, and fans have speculated who they are. Stunticons? No. Omnicons? No. Rallybots!? "No," Nelson simply writes on the Shoot For the Edit forums. He wrote this simple one word response in a thread on the official boards of Director Michael Bay that the trio were named the Rallybots. Guess we will know the name of them eventually.
Remember when we first saw the blue Mercedes Benz E350 on the set of Transformers 3 while filming in Chicago? Some believed it was the Chevrolet Volt (we did at one point), and some thought it would replace the Volt as Jolt's vehicle mode. It turns out that we were a bit off, according to the administrator of Director Michael Bay's Shoot For the Edit Nelson. "[The] Mercedes is not Jolt," Nelson posts on the forums. Read more.
Thanks to a new video posted on YouTube, we have learned that the Superfund armored truck first sighted in Milwaukee and then seen throughout this week in Chicago is indeed a Decepticon. Unlike Barricade, which was a Saleen Mustang police car that read, "To Punish and Enslave," the armored truck does not indicate anything menacing except the Decepticon faction logo on the passenger door (it is assumed it is on the driver side door, too).
